
Our Councilwoman Trinity Donovan
A resident of Chandler for over 25 years, Trinity Donovan has represented Chandler residents on City Council since 2006. She seeks re-election so that she can to continue her service to Chandler residents.Trinity has worked hard to represent Chandler on a regional and national level on issues ranging from water issues to human services, from families to public transportation. She chairs the Maricopa Association of Governments Human Services Coordinating Committee and is a board member for both the Arizona Municipal Water User’s Association and the Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority. On a national level, Trinity represents Chandler on the National League of Cities’ Community and Economic Development Committee and the Council on Youth, Education, and Families. Additionally, she chairs the STAR Community Sustainability Index Technical Advisory Committee for Health and Safety.
As the Executive Director of Chandler Christian Community Center, Trinity works to further its mission to empower individuals and families by providing programs that develop skills needed for self-sufficiency and long-term change. Prior to this role she held executive level positions with various nonprofits for the past 10 years. She has been involved in many community coalitions in areas including financial stability, homelessness, domestic violence, early childhood, and youth development. Trinity is active in her church and performs service projects internationally, such as a recent trip to Ethiopia and previous trips to South Africa, Columbia, Nicaragua and Mexico. Locally, she volunteers for many organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona as a Big Sister. She is a member of the First Things First Regional Council for the Chandler area, the East Valley Executive Council for Fresh Start Women’s Foundation and the Chandler Service Club.
Trinity has been honored by the Business Journal as one of its "Forty under 40," received the Soroptimist Woman of Distinction Award, Chandler Alliance for Character Award, IMPACT for Enterprising Women Celebration of Success Award, and the Stanford Associates Achievement Award.
A proud graduate of Chandler High School, Trinity went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and a master's degree in Sociology from Stanford University. A lifelong learner, she also graduated from Chandler Leadership and Valley Leadership.
